1. Who we are
CONTAKS is a business discovery platform that helps customers find local businesses and helps businesses manage public profiles, listings, reviews, messaging, subscriptions, and promotions. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the CONTAKS website and portal.
2. Information we collect
We collect account details (name, email, password hash, role), profile and listing content you submit, reviews, messages sent through the portal, subscription and advertising records, device/log data needed to keep the service secure, and location information when you choose to use discovery features.
3. How we use information
We use this information to create and secure accounts, show the correct role-based portal, operate search and discovery, process subscriptions, moderate reported content, send service emails such as password resets, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.
4. Sharing
Business profile information you publish is visible to other CONTAKS users. We share data with infrastructure and payment providers only as needed to run the platform, and with authorities when required by law. Administrators can access reports, verification records, and account status to operate the service.
5. Storage and security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Session cookies are HTTP-only. Reset links expire after one hour. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so we continuously improve access controls, logging, and least-privilege role permissions.
6. Your choices
You may access or update basic account details from portal settings, request a password reset, or ask us to deactivate an account. Businesses can manage public listing content. You may contact CONTAKS to request a copy or deletion of personal data, subject to legal and operational retention needs.
7. Cookies
CONTAKS uses a required session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use that cookie for advertising. If analytics is added later, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.
8. Children
CONTAKS is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
